Unlike a finger shield or wrap around device, Fingersafe is aesthetically pleasing:
the MK1A and MK1C fold flat against the frame when the door is closed. The MK1B shows minimal
hardware and streamlines the door to the frame by hiding the hinge pins.
Our finger guards for doors are designed to protect your fingers while, at the same time,
not disturb the integrity and original design of the door.
Made from PVC-U and TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer) it is fireproof, weatherproof,
resistant to UV and acts as a draft excluder and smoke inhibitor.
All finger guards are 2032mm in length, and can be cut easily to fit the required height.
MK1A – Hinge Opening Side of Door
For doors with a minimum 30mm doorstop on the frame. The MK1A is suitable for doors in wood, aluminium, metal, stainless steel, uPVC and steel. The MK1A folds flat against the full length of the frame to allow a full 180 degrees on a maximum opening of 12.5cm and can be adapted to fit doors with a maximum opening of up to 21.5cm.
It is secured to the door frame and outside edge of the door, forming a protective seal over the hinge pins.
This model uses the MK1A pleated guard, but has a unique fixing strip for fitting on various doors. There is only one version of MK1C but has varied fitting instructions depending on the door: Aluminium Frames
This model uses the MK1A module but has a unique fixing strip which allows fixing on doors with slim protruding doorstops, such as standard aluminium framed doors.
This model uses the MK1A module but has a unique fixing strip which keeps the product flat against the door when closed, yet ejects fingers every time. Protects a maximum gap opening of 12.5cm and can be adapted to fit doors with a maximum opening of 21.5cm.
